Hammam in Djerba: men, women, couples, who goes when?

In Djerba, the traditional hammam is separated between men and women: each has their own slots or room, depending on the venue. In a neighbourhood hammam you ask on the spot for your time; at the hotel, the hammam and Turkish bath of the Diar Yassine spa are booked in advance, at an extra charge.
